Online Obituaries LEOMINSTER-Germaine M. (Beland) Hapgood, 93, of Leominster, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in the Life Care Center of Leominster after a long illness. She was born in Canada, the daughter of Dallas and Alvina (Leduc) Beland. Mrs. Hapgood was a presser for the former Cluett-Peabody Company. She was a member of St. Leo’s Parish and the Daughters of Isabella. Mrs. Hapgood loved spending time at her winter residence in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and her summer residence in York, ME. Mrs. Hapgood is survived by her sister, Rochelle “Rachel” A. Buja of Leominster, and her brother, Armand Beland of Victoriaville, Canada, many nephews and nieces. Her husband, Charles W. Hapgood died in 1982 and three sisters, Flora Marien, Jean Prince and Berthe Bergeron, predeceased her.
Funeral Information
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from the Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West Street with a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Leo’s Church, 108 Main Street. Burial will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 in the funeral home.
