Ernest J. Infantino 59 of Fitchburg died Monday January 2, 2012 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital. He was born on May 24, 1952 in Fitchburg, MA the son of James and Margaret (Smith) Infantino. He was a graduate of Fitchburg Vocational High School Class of 1970. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during Vietnam. He attained the rank of Private Second Class and earned the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge Hand Grenade, Sharpshooter Badge M-16 Rifle, and the 2nd Class Badge. He had worked for the City of Fitchburg Highway Department. Mr. Infantino is survived by his wife of 32 years Joyce (Langille) Infantino of Fitchburg, a son Joshua Infantino of Milford, New Hampshire, a daughter Amy Infantino of Fitchburg, MA, a brother Carmello Infantino of Georgia, his grandchildren Sarah Infantino of Worcester, Gianna Murray and Mia-Fe Raxasack both of Fitchburg, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Sarah Infantino in 1975, his brother Monte Infantino in 1987 and James Infantino in 2011.

Funeral Information

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday January 5, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Iron Horse Lounge 19 Airport Road Fitchburg, MA.
