Mr. Henry W. Mathieu Leominster - Henry W. Mathieu, 84, of Leominster, died April 13, 2012, in Leominster. He was born May 1,1927, in Fitchburg, MA , son of George and Blanche (Morin) Mathieu. Mr. Mathieu worked as a machine operator at Crocker Burbank Paper Mill, retiring from Jams River Paper Mill. Henry was a graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School, Class of 1945. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish. He was a naval Veteran of World War II, attaing the Rank of Fireman First Class. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Theresa (Pronovost) Mathieu of Leominster, one son, James Mathieu and his wife Wendy of Ashburnham, a daugher, Kathy Ross, and her husband Leo ,of New Ipswich, NH, a sister, Alice Maguy of Bedford, NH and four grandchildren, Ashley Mathieu, Jason Ross, Kristen Ross and Nickolas Ross. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at the Oncology Center at Burbank Cancer Center, Fitchburg and the entire staff for their quality care at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Leominster.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012, in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster, at 11:00 a.m. There are no calling hours.
