Anthony P. DeCarolis

Leominster - Anthony "Tony" P. DeCarolis, 89, of Leominster, died February 24, 2017 in LifeCare Center, Leominster.  He was born March 17, 1927 in Leominster, son of the late Loretto and Lorretta (Selli) DeCarolis.  He served in the U.S. Navy as a Ship Service Man Laundry Third Class from Feb. 1945 to Aug. 1946.   He received the Asiatic Pacific Medal, Amerian Area Medal and Victory Medal.  Tony was an oil truck driver for East Side Oil.  He had attained the honor of Eagle Scout.  Tony was an avid Red Sox fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Boivin and her husband Kevin of Leominster, a sister-in-law Mary Britton of Leominster, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Concetta "Connie" (Angelini) DeCarolis, with whom he was married 56 years, who died in 2006, and  two brothers; Mario DeCarolis and John DeCarolis.

The family would like to thank everyone at LifeCare Center of Leominster for their wonderful care.

Funeral Information

The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017, in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster with a service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A Calling hour will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home,  Wednesday morning prior to the service.
