He was born on April 9, 1930 in Gardner, MA, was the son of Joseph and Mary ( Morze) Jeleniewski. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War, having earned the National Defense Service Medal with Oak Cluster. Mr. Jeleniewski served over 20 years in the United States Army he earned the rank of PSG E-7 Sergeant First Class/Platoon Sergeant, and worked in the Military Police Division before retiring from the military. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Gertraude (Henlein) Jeleniewski of Lunenburg, 1 son Bernhard Jeleniewski and wife Linda, 2 brothers Edward Jeleniewski and Alex Jeleniewski both of Gardner, 1 sister Wanda Jeleniewski of New Hampshire, 2 grandchildrean Eric B. Jeleniewski of New Hampshire & Todd M. Jeleniewski of Florida.

Calling hours will be held Thursday August 5, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Wright-Roy Funeral Home 109 West St Leominster, MA. The funeral service and burial with Military Honors will be held Friday August 6, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery 111 Glen Allen St Winchendon, MA.
