Mr. Mitzie T. Les

Fitchburg- Mitzie T. Les, 83, of 65 Carriage Way Drive in Fitchburg and formerly of Leominster, died Saturday March 31, 2007 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. He was born on August 29, 1923 in Chicopee, Massachusetts, the son of John and Josephine (Cebula) Les. Mr. Les graduated from Clinton High School and is a United States Air Force Veteran of WWII. He served in the air offensive with the 669th Bombardment Squadron, in Europe, Nothern France, Rhineland, Normandy, Ardeenes, and Central Europe. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon, the Distinguished Unit Badge Co. 144. He worked as a tool and die machinist for Modern Tool and Vertex Co. of Leominster. Mr. Les is survived by his wife of 52 years, Loretta (Lozeau) Les of Fitchburg; two daughters, Ann Antocci and husband Joseph of Leominster, Janice DiNardo and husband David of Bedford, New Hampshire; two brothers, Frederick Les and Edward Les, both of Clinton, Massachusetts; six grandchildren, Lauren Antocci, Joseph Antocci, Sarah Antocci, Peter DiNardo, Elise DiNardo, Benjamin DiNardo, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 63 Sheridan Street in Fitchburg. After cremation, burial will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery in Leominster at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West Street in Leominster, Tuesday evening April 3, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning, April 4, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
