Leominster - Geneva M. (LeBlanc) Roy, 93, of Leominster, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in UMass Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness. She was born October 14, 1923, in Moncton, NB, Canada, daughter of the late Didace and Amanda (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Geneva had worked at Asher Pant Co. for 16 years and later at Cluet-Peabody for 22 years, prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Parish, St. Cecilia's Choir, St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Prayer Group at St. Cecilia's Parish. She was an Eucharistic Minister. She volunteered at St. Cecilia's Bingo, the Summer Fairs and Christmas Fairs.
Geneva is survived by her husband, of 69 years, Edgar J. Roy, one daughter; Phyllis Richard and her husband Gerard of Leominster, two sons; Norman G. Roy and his wife Cheryl, of Leominster and Gary A. Roy and his wife June, of Fitchburg, one brother; Renee LeBlanc of NB, Canada and one sister; Jeannette Cormier of, Florida, along with five grandchildren; Christine Richard, Paula Matson, Brian Richard, Melissa Roy-Clark and Jamie Roy, and seven great grandchildren: Kali Richard, Brett Richard, Eric Matson, Evan Matson, Hunter Matson, Dakota Matson and Victoria Clark.
Due to the impending storm, Geneva's Funeral has been moved to Tuesday, February 14, 2017, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 168 Mechanic St.,Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Calling hours are still being held Sunday, Feb. 12th, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
