Online Obituaries Ugo J. Refrigeri 84 of Leominster died Thursday February 11, 2010 in Sterling Healthcaresurrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 21, 1925 in Leominster MA and was the son of Mariano and Assunta (Sette) Refrigeri. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII and served in Patton's Army just prior to being wounded in Belgium and in the Battle of the Bulge. He also served in Rhineland and Ardennes. Mr. Refrigeri attained the rank of Technician Fifth Grade and served with the Company I 317 Infantry Regiment. He earned the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Sharp Shooter Rifle Badge, Expert Gunner, Combat Infantry Badge, and European African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon. Mr. Refrigeri owned and operated C &R Plumbing and Heating for 25 years. He was a member of St. Anna Parish Leominster, and the Leominster Lodge of Elks. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Alice E. (Chiarelli) Refrigeri of Leominster, two sons Michael Refrigeri and his wife Jayne and Rand J. Refrigeri and his wife Judith all of Leominster, six grandchildren Susan, Laura, Amanda, Randy, Christopher, and Lisa as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Ada Cali. The funeral with Military Honors will be held on Saturday February 13, 2010 from the Wright- Roy Funeral Home 109 West St Leominster, with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna Church 199 Lancaster St. Leominster; Burial will be in St. Leo's Cemetery Leominster. Calling hours will be Friday February 12, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
