Mr. John W. O'Brien

John W. O'Brien Leominster - John W. O'Brien, 62, of Leominster, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at his home. He was born October 20, 1949, in Leominster, the son of Arnold and Ida (Carrabba) O'Brien.
Mr. O'Brien served in the U.S.Army from 1969 to 1971. He was a Vietnam Veteran, attaining the Rank of Specialist 4th Class. He received the Army Commendation Medal (w/OLC), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal (w/60 dev) Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantrymans Badge, Expert Badge M-14 & 45 Cal. pistol, and Sharpshooter Badge M-16.
Mr. O'Brien was a Computer Professor at Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner.
He is survived by two sons, Keith O'Brien of Rhode Island, and Sean O'Brien of Nevada, a sister, Sharon Lange of Michigan, and two grandchildren, Connor O'Brien and Sawyer O'Brien.
Funeral Information
His Funeral will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass at 9:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Callling hours will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
