Online Obituaries Arlene L. (LaFrance) Krummel 89 a resident of Life Care Center of Leominster for 2 years, died on December 26, 2011 in Leominster Hospital of heart failure. She was born on June 29, 1922, and was the daughter of Donat and Alice (Maxfield) La France. She was a graduate of Leominster High School Class of 1938. She then attended and graduated from Salters Secretarial School in Worcester. She joined the Womens Army Corp (WACS) from 1942 to 1945 where she earned the Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. She attained the rank of Corporal. Arlene was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Leominster. She is survived by a sister Lucille Fontaine of Leominster, two brothers Raymond LaFrance of Leominster and Robert LaFrance of East Falmouth, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Art Gastrich who died in 1968 and her second husband William H. Krummel of St. Louis, MO, who died in September 1997.

There are no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church 168 Mechanic St Leominster. Wright-Roy Funeral Home 109 West St Leominster is directing arrangements.
