Online Obituaries Albert “Marty” W. Martin 83 of Leominster died Monday February 8, 2010 in Life Care Center. He was born on February 13, 1926 in Fitchburg; MA was the son of Leo and Mary Anna (Rousseau) Martin. He served in the Merchant Marines Aug 14, 1943 to April 24, 1946 serving on the S.S. Sappa Creek, Jane A. Delano, Argentine and United States Army from April 8, 1946 to Sept 21, 1946, and a World War II Veteran. He was appointed general construction Inspector with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers at Fort Devens from 1955-1964, before opening Marty’s Pizza in Fitchburg from 1964- 1984. He was a member of the Mass Board of Realtors, St. Cecilia Parish, Leominster, South End National Club, Gardner Deep Sea Club, Leominster Lodge of Elks, Social Club, Amvets Post 29, VFW Post Warren, NH American Legion Post 0083 Lincoln, NH and the Franco American Club. Mr. Martin was a volunteer fireman in Warren, NH an avid fisherman and hunter, oved spending time at his cabin in the White Mountains. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Theresa M. (Comeau) Martin of Leominster, a son Dennis M. Martin and his wife Nancy of Leominster, three daughters June Martin of Lancaster, Susan Maillet and her husband Ronald of Leominster, Diane Martin and her partner Angel Miranda of Leominster, a brother Eugene Martin of FL, a sister Gloria Martin of Leominster, seven grandchildren Tyke Crowley, Kory Maillet, Matthew Crowley, Brandi Jong, Kristen White, Katilyn Crowley, and Andraea Maillet, a great-granddaughter Samantha Jong.
