Keith A. DeBarge
Leominster - Keith A. DeBarge, 51, of Leominster, died unexpectedly, April 6, 2017, in Leominster Hospital, after being stricken ill. He was born October 5, 1965, in Leominster, son of Joan (Mondeville) Bazucki. Keith was a roofer by trade but there was nothing that he did not do, he was very much a handy man. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Parish.
He adored his daughter Bianca and his two grandsons Jackson and Rolland. Growing up he was known as the best baseball pitcher for Leominster Babe Ruth coached by Rick Niles. Some former teammates remember his pitching to be thrown so hard and fast that he could throw a baseball through a concrete wall. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his many motorcycles and popping wheelies. He lived life through his own rules and ideas. If he liked you he would do anything for you at anytime of day or night. He would walk into or out of anywhere and leave people laughing or wondering what just happened. He loved to travel, and any chance he had to pack up and go, he went wherever his heart desired and that made him love life. He loved the beach and spending every single day with his grandson Jackson. Keith was quite a jokester and had many sayings of his own that his friends and family will carry on such as; "you dropped your pocket" ( as he pointed to the ground and made you look), "everybody sucks but me", We're French we're not Russian", "Your socks are on the wrong feet", and many more. Keith will be remembered by all as a hardworking, free spirited, loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by one daughter; Bianca (Guertin) Huntley and her husband, Rolland Huntley III, of Leominster, one brother; Mark DeBarge of Leominster, his mother; Joan Bazucki, of Leominster, five sisters; Karen Pope and her husband Joe, Pamela DeBarge, Debra Hebert and her husband Richard, Lorrie DeBarge and Penny DeBarge, and her son Joseph Cornacchia, all of Leominster, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves two grandchildren, Jackson Collins Jr., and Rolland Huntley IV, and his daughter's mother Patti Guertin.
He was predeceased by a sister Donna Hammond.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, MA with a prayer service to follow at 8:00 p.m.
