Leominster Hospital Surgical Day Care Nurse

Leominster - M. Barbara (Martin) Landgraf, age 94, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024. Born in Leominster on October 20, 1929, she was the beloved wife of the late Edwin Landgraf, daughter of the late Nelson and Alfreda (Babineau) Martin. Barbara graduated from Leominster High School in 1947 and Leominster Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She was the Industrial Nurse at E. I. DuPont for 3 years, then worked as a Registered Nurse at Leominster Hospital for 37 years. She was the Surgical Day Care nurse for her last 17 years, retiring in 1993.

Barbara enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She and Ed loved to travel. She was a member of St Leo’s Parish since 1953.

Barbara leaves 4 children, Brian Landgraf of Exeter, NH, Nancy and Richard Bernier of Nashua, NH, Wade Landgraf of Leominster and Linda and Ronald Abreu of Lancaster, MA, her grandchildren Danielle Madden, Matthew Landgraf, Colleen Nardello, Eric and Michael Abreu, 5 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Ainsley, Anthony, Rosalyn and Mason, nieces and nephews and daughter-in-law Barbara L. Landgraf. Barbara is also survived by her sister Beverly (Cosenza) Daly. She is predeceased by her in-laws, Gerard and Dorothy Landgraf, Fred and Madeline Murphy, Louis Landgraf and Eugene Landgraf.

Barbara's funeral will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc. 109 West Street, Leominster, MA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery.   A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
