Anne A. Palumbo, age 92, passed away May 19, 2018. Anne was born in Leominster, the daughter of Antonio and Rosina (LoRusso) Armillotti. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1943 and was married for 63 years to the late Edward J. Palumbo. She was retired from the Accounting Department of Sears, Roebuck & Co.
Anne was a member and officer of the Children of Mary at St. Anna's Parish, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader in Webster, MA and Secretary of the North Leominster Little League. She and her husband were avid square and round dancers and former members of the Bay Path Square and Round Dance Clubs and the Homestead Squares. She served as Secretary of the Bay Path Round Dance Club. In her retirement years, Anne was committed to volunteer work in her community. She served as a Friend of the Leominster Public Library and as a volunteer at Our Lady of the Lake Parish in various capacities including the Daily Rosary Group and Nursing Home Ministry..
Anne was predeceased in death by her husband and her son, Edward Mark Palumbo; brothers, Frank and Luigi Armillotti; and sisters Mary Ciccone, Celeste DePatsy and Lucy McHugh. She is survived by her daughter, Jane P. Lord, and grandson, Timothy J. Lord, both of Florida, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster, MA. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours.
