Anthony A. Balducci

Fitchburg -  Anthony A. Balducci, 80, of Fitchburg, died January 18, 2018, at his sister's home in Leominster, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness.  He was born September 23, 1937, in Fitchburg, MA son of the late Giovanni and Colinda (Carnaveletti) Balducci.  Mr. Balducci was a retired Fitchburg Firefighter, who had previously worked at Independent Lock Co., and Charlton Furniture.  He had owned and operated his beauty salon on Summer St., in Lunenburg  for many years.  He had also served  over 40 years in the U.S. Naval Reserves.  Anthony was a member of St. Anthony of  Padua Church in Fitchburg.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his family.

Anthony is survived by two brothers; Giulio Balducci of Fitchburg and Dominic Balducci, and his wife Lorraine, of Quaker Hill, CT, two sisters; Rita Casagrande and Anna Schroeder and her husband George, all of Leominster, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was predeceased by his parents,  one brother; Joseph Balducci of Fitchburg , a nephew,  Michael A. Balducci of NY, and his niece, Julie Ann (Schroeder) Jordan of Leominster.

Anthony's Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg, MA.  Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Fitchburg.  A visitation will take place from 10:15 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, Wednesday morning, prior to the Funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
