Leominster - Anthony R. Posco, 73, of Leominster, died August 28, 2017 in UMass Medical Center, Worcester, after being stricken ill. He was born October 9, 1943, in Leominster, son of the late Anthony J. and Josephine (DeCiantes) Posco. Mr. Posco was a graduate of Fitchburg High School, Class of 1964. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Posco worked as a machine operator at K & C Plastics for 25 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Fitchburg and the Leominster D.A.V.. Anthony loved Jazz, Pop and 70's music. He played with The Jokers and his own band, American Way.

Anthony is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia A. (Marcello) Posco, four sons; Bruce Posco, Brian Posco, Scott Posco and Michael Posco, two brothers; John Posco and Peter Posco, two sisters; Patricia Mace and Mary Gleason, his grandchildren, many nieces, nephews , great nieces, great nehews, and his dog, Sophia Lee. He had two dogs who died before him, Sarah Ann and Lilly Marie.

Funeral Information

Mr. Posco's funeral will be held Friday, September 1, 2017, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster Street, Leominster. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, August 31st from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Burial in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA will be held at a later date.
