Leominster - Benjamin F. Pinder Jr., 85, of Leominster, died January 7, 2018, in Life Care Center of Leominster, with his family by his side. He was born February 21, 1932, in New Rochelle, NY, son of the late Benjamin F. Pinder Sr., and Elizabeth (Rosch) Pinder. Ben served in the US Air Force for four years, attaining rank of Tech Sgt. He then served in the Air Force Reserves for 22 years. He worked as a shipper for the DuPont Co., of Leominster. He was a member of St. Leo's Parish, the Knights of Columbus, Fitchburg, and the American Legion. He was a eucharistic minister at St. Leo's Church.
Ben is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia A. ( Mahan) Pinder, his daughter; Diana M. Pinder of Leominster, one brother; John A Pinder and his wife Linda of Leominster, one sister; Elizabeth Moniz and her husband Richard of Leominster, nephews; Christopher, Robert, Michael Pinder, and John and Michael Mahan and Andrew Moniz, nieces; Beth Ann Moniz and Catherine Firmani, Brenda Conquest, Pamela Aubuchon Fields, along with several cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.
His funeral will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 10th, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
