Leominster - Felice P. Gabrieli, 94, of Leominster, died December 28, 2018, in Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, MA. He was born June 29, 1924, in Leominster, son of the late Constantino and Mary (Casassa) Gabrieli. He served in the US Army during WWII in Normandy, Northern France, Adrennes, Rhineland and Centeral Europe, and was held as a prisoner of war. He received the World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal 80 100 Hq, European African Middle East Camp Ribbon with 5 Service Stars. He attained the rank of Sergeant. Felice was a member of St. Anna's Parish, Knights of Columbus #406, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Hose 4.
Mr. Gabrieli was a Leominster Fire Fighter for 35 years, retiring as a Deputy Chief.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris C. (Bourque) Gabrieli, of Leominster, three sons; John Gabrieli of Winchendon, David Gabrieli and his wife Theresa of Boise, Idaho and Richard Gabrieli and his wife Marguerite of New Ipswich, NH, one daughter: Donna Cormier and her husband William of Leominster, one sister; Rina Carson of San Antonio, TX, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters; Mary Cote and Madeline Baldwin.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Arlington National Cemetery on february 27,2019 at 11 am..
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
