Frank J. Patella

North Falmouth-Frank Joseph Patella, 88, entered into Eternal Peace on Sunday, August 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late John and Sylvia (Barbato) Patella.  Frank was a 1948 graduate of Worcester Boy’s Trade High School.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. army and served in the Korean War on Koje-do Island.  When he returned home, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline May Doucet  and they were married for almost sixty-one years.  For many years while residing in Leominster, he worked as a plumber first for Foster Grant then at St. Vincent’s Hospital where he retired from.  Upon retiring, he moved to Falmouth where he enjoyed many years of coastal living whether it be spending time on the beach, his daily walks through the neighborhood of New Silver Beach or working on numerous projects around his home.  He will always be remembered for his storytelling and his gift of gab.
Frank leaves his children, Elizabeth Patella-Sambuceti of Salem, David Sambuceti, Paul Patella of Vero Beach Florida and his significant other, Donna Michaud, Daniel Patella and his wife Jill of Leominster, and Katherine Collins and her husband Dave of North Falmouth.  Grandchildren, Matthew Sambuceti, Tyler, Emily, and Ian Patella and Jacqueline, Sophia, and Michael Collins.  He also leaves his brother, Arnold Patella of Uxbridge, as well as his sister in laws, Lea Patella, Ange-Marie Doucet, and brother in law Maurice Doucet and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline in 2016, his infant son Frank J. Patella Jr., his grandchildren Gabrielle Patella and Jeffrey Sambuceti, his sister Josephine LaTraverse, and his brothers Joseph and Nicholas.
Frank’s funeral will be held on Friday August 17, 2018, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna Church, 199 Lancaster Street, Leominster.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 16th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Falmouth Service Center, 611 Gifford Street, Falmouth, MA 02540.
