Jean M. Leger

Leominster -  Jean M. Leger, 73, of Leominster, died December 9, 2017, in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster, after being stricken ill at home.  He was born January 23, 1944, in Buctouche, NB, Canada, son of the late Yvon and Marguerite (Goguen) Leger.  Mr. Leger owned and operated his own auto body shop.  He was a member of St. Cecilia's Parish, Franco American War Veterans, Townsend Fish and Gun Club, where he was an avid fisherman.  He liked going to casinos, making puzzles, watching NASCAR, his dog Niko and yearly trips back to New Brunswick.

Mr. Leger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucille M. (Cormier) Leger, three sons; Ronald Leger, Donald Leger and his wife Laurie, and Paul Leger and his companion Michele Young, all of Leominster, five brothers; Valmond Leger and his wife Dianne of Gardner, Emery Leger and his wife Muriel of Hubbardston, Royal Leger and his wife Pam of Petersham, Yvon Leger Jr., and his wife Louise of Gardner, and Rheal Leger of Fitchburg, three sisters; Sylvia Leger, Raymonde Leger and her husband Alderice and Rose-Ella LeBlanc, all of Notre Dame, NB, Canada, his grandchildren; Chandler Leger and Loreena Leger, along with many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers; Gilles Leger, Royal Leger and a sister Noella Cormier.

Jean's Funeral will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster.  Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 12th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
