John Chiurri

Leominster - John Chiurri, 89, lifelong resident of Leominster, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2017, in Life Care Center of Leominster, with his family by his side.  He was born January 7, 1928, in Leominster, son of the late Anselmo and Maria (DiTommaso) Chiurri.   John was a graduate of Leominster High School, Class of 1946, and also of the Cambridge School of Radio Broadcasting.   Mr. Chiurri was a self employed excavation contractor and  dairy farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 62, Rita (Beaupre) Chiurri, four sons; John Chiurri Jr. and his wife Bonnie Riner of Georgia, David Chiurri, Mark Chiurri and his wife Jesse, and Christopher Chiurri  and his wife Karen, all of Leominster, three daughters; Donna D'Apolito and her husband Martin of Leominster, Joy Chiurri and Chip Duval of Leominster and Patricia DeFranco  and her husband Ed of New Jersey, as well as fourteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother Anthony Chiurri and a sister Robina Chiurri.

John's Funeral will be held Monday, November 13, 2017, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union Street, Leominster.  Burial in St. Leo's Cemetery will be at a later date.  Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 12th from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.  in the funeral home.
