Mercy A. (Tata) Grautski

Leominster - Mercy A. (Tata) Grautski, 89, of Leominster, died October 4, 2017, in Rose Monahan House, Worcester, after a brief illness.  She was born July 15, 1928, in Leominster, daughter of the late Peter and Vincenzina (DeCarolis) Tata.  Mercy worked as a Matron at Leominster High School for many years.  She was a member of St. Anna's Parish.

Mercy is survived by one daughter; Luann Thomas and her husband, Derek of Marlboro, one sister; Antoinetta "Toni" Nelson of West Townsend,MA and one grandson; Evan Thomas, along with nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, John P. Grautski, in 2007, two brothers; Joseph Tata, Samuel Tata, and a sister; Anna Tata.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster.  Burial will  follow in St. Leo's Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., prior to the funeral, in the funeral home.
