Leominster - Paul J. Roy, 80, of Leominster, died in his home, March 13, 2019, after an illness. He was born November 25, 1938, in St. Paul, NB, Canada, son of the late Jean Baptist and Laure (Jaillet) Roy. Paul was a truck driver for Victory Button of Leominster, for 38 years. He also drove truck for Tamor Plastics. After his retirement he was a truck driver for Mass Mold Tech.
Paul's community outreach was visiting the sick at home and in hospitals.
Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeannette (Boudreau) Roy, of Leominster, a special person; Lesley Tata, three brothers; Romeo Roy and his wife Margaret of Coventry, CT, Ronald Roy and his wife Terry of Stafford Springs, CT, Bernard Roy and his wife Denise of Leominster, MA, two sisters; Bertha Landry and Fernande Roy both of Leominster. He also leaves his in-laws; Joe and Jeanitta Leger of Canada, Lena and Oscar LeBlanc of Canada, Elizabeth Babineau of Fitchburg, MA, Jean Charles Boudreau of Danbury, CT, Leo Boudreau of Canada, and Rheal Boudreau of Fitchburg, MA, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Jean Baptiste and Laure Roy, and his brothers; Rodrique Roy and Maurice Roy.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Health Alliance Home Health and Hospice, with a special thanks to Jackie LeBlanc. They also want to acknowledge the staff and doctors at Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center.
Pauls' funeral will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon, in St. Cecilia's Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 22nd, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.and Saturday March 23 from 10:30- 11:30 in the funeral home.
