Peter P. Iacobone Jr.

Westminster -  Peter P. Iacobone Jr., 90, of Westminster, a longtime resident of Leominster, died March 8, 2018, after a short stay at The Highlands, Fitchburg.  He was born December 2, 1927, in Leominster, son of the late Peter P. Iacobone Sr., and Mary (Marrone) Iacobone.  Mr. Iacobone proudly enlisted and served in the US Navy during WWII.  He later worked as a machinist at Foster Grant Co., retiring in 1989, after 45 years of service.

Peter was a member of St. Anna's Church.  He was a Little League and Babe Ruth baseball coach for over 12 years.  He was a member of the men's bowling league at Putnam Lanes, an active member of the No. 6 Schoolhouse in Leominster and an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.  His most cherished role was as husband, father and grandfather, loving and caring for his family throughout his life.

He is survived by two sons; David P. Iacobone and his wife Carol Bailey Iacobone of Westminster, Richard P. Iacobone and his wife Shelly LaClair Iacobone of Leominster, one daughter; Agnes M. Gordon and her husband Daniel of Ashby, MA, one brother; James Iacobone of Leominster, two sisters; Valerie Morhain of Cranston, RI and Madeline Iacobone of Leominster.  He also leaves his grandchildren; Adam, Jess, Lindsay, Sean, Christina and Jillian.

Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (Buratti) Iacobone, Feb. 6, 2015, one brother; Anthony J. Iacobone, and two sisters; Rose LaHeureux and Anna Bennett.

Mr. Iacobone's funeral will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc. 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 13th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
