Richard "Dick" G. Serafini

Leominster - Richard "Dick" G. Serafini, 80, of Leominster, died October 30, 2017, in Keystone Center, Leominster, with his family by his side.  He was born February 15, 1937, in Leominster, MA son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Pitkiewicz) Serafini.  Dick was a graduate of Leominster High School, Class of 1955.  He owned and operated a Food Brokerage Firm and his clients thought highly of him and were with him for many years.   He was a member of St. Anna's Parish.  He loved Basketball and was captain of the Basketball Team at LHS.  He was a lifelong Yankees Fan.  Dick loved the ocean and vacationing with his family at Old Orchard Beach, Cape Cod and Avalon, New Jersey.  He was proud to be an American and that he served in the US AirForce after high school.  He loved his visits to San Francisco down to San Diego and to the casinos.  He also enjoyed the many friendships he had with some of his lifelong friends.  His greatest joy in life by far came as a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He is already missed by all who love him.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn J. (Salvi) Serafini, his loving children; two daughters: Carolyn J. Hebert and her husband Jay of Shirley, Pamela V. Savage and her husband Stephen of Sterling, two sons; Richard G. Serafini Jr. and his wife Catherine of Sterling, Matthew W. Serafini and his wife Michelle of Shirley, three brothers; Joseph Serafini  of Leominster, Henry Serafini and his wife Suzanne of Leominster and Stephen Mahoney and his wife Emma of Altona, NY,  a sister; Maureen Wright and her husband Glenn of Leominster. His loving grandchildren; Erica and Gabrielle Hebert, Hilary, Hayden and Christian Savage, Alexandria, Jacob and Zachary Serafini, and Luke and Gia Serafini.

Mr. Serafini's funeral will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St. Leominster, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held Friday, November 10th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and also Saturday November 11th 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
