Leominster - Virginia M. (Caporello) Cote, 91, of Leominster, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died peacefully at home with her family and her Yorkie - Brandy - by her side, February 28, 2019. She was born February 1, 1928, in Leominster, daughter of the late Agapito and Anita (Cianfriglia) Caporello. Virginia worked as a seamstress at the former Elana Dress Co., of Leominster for many years and also worked at Cluett Peabody, New England Novelty Co., and Wendy's at various times. She was a member of the St. Anna's Society, Golden Age, Sons of Italy, Daughters of Isabella, the Homemakers Club, Red Hats and AARP. She was a very active member of the Leominster Senior Center and participated in many activities and trips with her family and many friends.
She was a life long member of Saint Anna's Parish and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years bringing communion and comfort to many in need.
She loved to dance and enjoyed ballroom and line dancing.
Virginia is survived by three sons; Stephen E. Cote, of Leominster, who was also her caregiver, Richard H. Cote and his wife Karen Hartwell of Leominster, John J. Cote and his wife Tertia of Lincoln, NH, and one daughter; Nancy Davis and her husband Dennis of Leominster, her grandchildren; Kelly Robertson and her husband James, Stephanie Davis, Bennett Zapletal and his wife Casey Zapletal, Mirka Zapletal and her husband Christopher Fontenot. She also leaves her great grandchildren; Isabella, Alexandra, Harper, Oliver and Samuel, along with many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband Henry E. Cote in 1989 and her brother Emilio Caporello.
Virginia's funeral will be held Tuesday, March 5th, 2019, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery. A Calling Hour will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
