Anthony C. Cornacchia

Leominster - Anthony C. "Tony" Cornacchia, 62, of Leominster, died November 2, 2021, in UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus, Worcester, MA after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born February 5, 1959, in Leominster, son of the late Mario A. and Phyllis M. (L’Italien) Cornacchia.  Tony was employed at the former Sears Roebuck Co. for over 20 years, and people often stopped by simply to say hello and chat with Tony C. He was a member of the Leominster Lodge of Elks where he served as President for a number of years.

Tony is survived by his partner; Gwen Mazzocco, his only child, daughter; Aria Niemierko of Westford, MA, one brother; Michael Cornacchia of Westboro, MA, a niece; Alexandra Cornacchia and a nephew; Joseph Cornacchia, along with two grandchildren; Zosia and Emilia Niemierko.

Besides his parents, Tony was predeceased by his brother Chris Cornacchia. 

He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Everyone who knew him appreciated his sense of humor and quick wit. His life will be celebrated and his memory will be kept alive through pictures and stories. His grandchildren will miss their “Papa Tony.”

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., in St. Leo's Cemetery, 360 Lancaster Street, Leominster, MA.
