Fitchburg - Arlene M. Landry Wiitala (Fitchburg, MA) passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, at Massachusetts General Hospital. Arlene was born on October 20th, 1964, at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg, MA, and lived in Fitchburg for most of her life.
Arlene leaves behind her mother, Sharon Goyette Uusitalo of Fitchburg, her father Roy Landry Sr. (Jackie) of Fitchburg, her four sons; Dylan Thomas Landry of Kansas City, MO, Nicholas Wiitala of Keene, NH, Nathan Wiitala of Gardner, and Kevin Wiitala of Fitchburg, and a grandson, Zeke Wiitala of Keene, NH as well as her brother, Roy Landry Jr. of Fitchburg and her sister, Kendra Uusitalo of Fitchburg. Furthermore, she leaves behind the Wiitala Family, Randy, Kevin, Shawna, and Sandy. Arlene also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, cousins, 2nd cousins, 3rd cousins, and many friends, and her beloved calico cat, Delphi.
Arlene was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Nelson and Irene (Upton) Goyette and her paternal grandparents Zeno and Virginia (Faubert) Landry.
Arlene had a larger-than-life personality with a huge sense of humor and was a loyal friend. She enjoyed get togethers with family and friends, cooking, art, and animals. She was a caring support to family and friends as well as a professional caregiver to the elderly and those with medical issues.

Arlene’s service will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, May 11th, at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453. Burial will be private.
