Sterling - Barry A. DeCarolis, 75, of Sterling, MA, formerly of Leominster, died February 9, 2026, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness. He was born June 6, 1950, in Leominster, son of the late Ralph and Albina (Lipniskas) DeCarolis. After graduating high school, Barry served in the US Army (1970-1972) during the Vietnam war, attaining rank of SP4.
He worked as a delivery truck driver for MidTown Beef for over 20 years. In 2011 he starting working for Ocean State Job Lot.
Barry was a man of simple pleasures, dedicated to supporting his family. He was a Life Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Barry is survived by one daughter; Mirinda DeCarolis of Swanzey, NH, one grandson; Valentino Rosario-Hatton, one brother; James DeCarolis and his wife Joyce of Leominster, nephew; Jacob DeCarolis and nephew; Samuel DeCarolis and his fiancee` Shelbi Gill.
He was predeceased by his wife: Dianne (Kaulback) DeCarolis in 2011.
A committal service with Military honors will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 1:00 pm, in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA.
