Leominster - Born on July 10,1940, in Acadieville, NB, Canada, she was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Marie (Roach) McGrath. To her beloved grandchildren who adored her – she was “Memere” a source of unconditional love and joy. To her daughters, she was a beautiful, kind-hearted soul with an infectious smile and laugh – someone who will be deeply missed.
Family meant everything to Beatrice. She loved being surrounded by love ones and attending any family gathering. In her earlier years, she enjoyed her many trips to Canada as well as visiting Lourdes & Paris in France, and Fatima in Portugal with her husband Ronald. She found joy in cooking and baking, both of which she mastered effortlessly, as well as gardening – tending to both vegetables and flowers with care. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, walking and watching Wheel of Fortune. Over the years, she held various positions, ultimately spending her later years as a bookkeeper at Cains in Ayer, MA.
Beatrice is survived by her longtime devoted husband of 61 years, Ronald D. Robichaud of Leominster, MA; her daughters, Diane M. Prindle and her husband Wayne of Leominster, MA and Janet M. Grautski and her husband Michael of Templeton, MA; and her three grandchildren – Brian Prindle and his wife Kaitie of Nashville, TN; Morgan Prindle of Leominster, MA and Andrew Grautski of Williston, VT. Beatrice was also one of twelve children, and is survived by her siblings Cecile Doucet and her husband Gilles from Dieppe, NB Canada, Stella Lemay and her husband Gilles, Linda LeBlanc, and Eddy McGrath and his wife Monique, all from Moncton, NB, Canada. She also leaves behind her niece Rose Powers and daughter Olivia “Livvie” from New Ipswich, NH and many other nieces and nephews.
The family is deeply grateful to the staff at Sterling Village Rehab for their compassionate care throughout Beatrice’s time there.
