Bertha R. (Gizzi) Cascio

Leominster - Bertha R. (Gizzi) Cascio, 94, of Leominster, died August 17, 2021, in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster.  She was born April 27, 1927, in Leominster, daughter of the late Benedetto and Trusiana (DeAmicis) Gizzi.   Bertha was a graduate of Leominster High School.  She worked as a telephone supervisor for New England Telephone, before her retirement.  Mrs. Cascio was a member of St. Anna's Parish, and the New England Telephone Pioneers.

Bertha is survived by her husband of 71 years, Peter Cascio, of Leominster, three sisters; Gina Polack, Theresa Gizzi and Anna Testa, all of Leominster, along with many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Mary Barbone.

Mrs. Cascio's funeral will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster Street, Leominster.   Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held, Saturday morning, August 21st, from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m., in the funeral home.
