Cheryl (Girouard) McLellan, 65, of West Glover, Vermont, formerly of Leominster died unexpectedly along with her fiancé Lawrence Bouchard on Sunday July 25, 2021.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert McLellan, parents Madeline (Perla) Girouard who died in 2015 and Francis J. Girouard Jr. who died recently. Cheryl was a 1974 graduate of Leominster High School and was a remarkable hairdresser who owned her own salon “Hair Connection” in Leominster for over 25 years. Upon her retirement, Cheryl and Larry moved to Vermont where they enjoyed camping and boating in the beautiful outdoors of northern Vermont.
Although Cheryl never had children of her own, she was a doting aunt and relished her nieces and nephews every day of her life. Each one of them will always have their own special memories of “Auntie Cha.”
She is survived by her five siblings, Susan Clancy and her husband Thomas Clancy of Sterling, David Girouard of Leominster, Linda Newall and her husband, Mark Newall of Marblehead, Judy Gariepy and her husband Stephen Gariepy of Leominster, and Lori Julius and her husband Robert Julius of Sterling; her nephews and nieces Jacob Bowser, Adam, Joseph and Madeline Newall, Matthew Girouard and his wife Angel Girouard, Michaela Girouard, Allycia Gariepy and her fiancé David Lombardo, Kyle Gariepy, Benjamin Julius and his fiancé, Shea Duarte, Nicholas Julius and his wife Anna Julius and Carly Mae Julius; and dear great nieces and nephew Isabelle and Tyler Girouard, Avery Mae Julius and Nora Perla Newall. She also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cheryl's Funeral will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, MA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
