Chiara Lolli died on October 22, 2023 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a long and fulfilling life. Chiara was born on March 8, 1929 in Leominster, MA, the daughter of Frank and Almerinda (Fraticelli) Del Giudice. She graduated from Leominster High School and pursued higher education at Becker College and earned an associate degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. Just as her parents had, Chiara spent her entire career at the Dupont Company in Leominster, first as an Executive Secretary and later as the Director of Human Resources. Chiara married Joseph "Pappo" Lolli in 1951 and they lovingly shared their lives together until his death in 2004. Several years later, Chiara found a special friendship with Frank Bovenzi and they enjoyed each other’s companionship until her death. At the center of Chiara’s life was her family. She had much affection and an especially strong bond with her brother Frank and his wife Florence (who predeceased her), and their six children, along with her numerous great nephews and nieces that followed. Chiara was an accomplished violinist in her youth and at one time considered a career as a musician. Her intellectual interests also included voracious reading (frequent visits to the Leominster Public Library) and a commitment to lifelong learning (a student of adult education at Fitchburg State University). Chiara was also a longtime member of St. Anna Church and a volunteer at the Italian American Club in Leominster. One of the bedrocks of her social life was her beloved bowling club. Chiara often spoke of her respect and admiration for her father, specifically his intelligence, work ethic, and integrity. She embodied these traits as well, and because of them, along with many others, Chiara has a special place in the hearts of all of her family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 18th at 11:00a.m. in St. Anna Catholic Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA. Burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery, Leominster.
