Christiane M. Smith

Leominsrter - Christiane Mary Smith of Leominster, MA, formerly of Lunenburg, MA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones and pets, on November 3rd, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Her guard cat, Sciliy, never left her side, while her faithful canine, Wick, took charge of caring for her, her long term boyfriend, Scott Gauthier.

Chrissy was a graduate of Lunenburg High School, class of 1993 and of Rob Roy Academy class of 1995. After many years of dedicated artistry in cosmetology she began her 20 year career as a veterinary technician at Pepperell Veterinary Hospital and Fallon Animal Hospital.

Her passion for animals began as a child with her pets at home and many years of riding and caring for horses. Chrissy also loved to cook and share her culinary masterpieces with others, cooking for anyone in need and many veteran charities. She always put the needs of others before her own, and would be the first person to volunteer to help her friends and family.

Chrissy is survived by her long term boyfriend, Scott Gauthier, her mother, Kathleen Baker and her spouse Steven Belliveau, siblings Jaime Smith, Amanda Bakken, and Laura Lilly, their spouses Tamuna Smith and Jeffrey Bakken, and her four nieces and nephews, Chris Smith, Nia Smith, Aella Bakken, and her nephew expected to arrive later this month.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 7th at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St, Leominster, MA, from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:00 am in St. Cecilia's Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA.
