Leominster - Claire M. (Prince) Tourigny, 96, of Leominster, passed away, August 3, 2024, in Leominster Hospital. She was born July 8, 1928, in Leominster, daughter of the late Donat and Leone (Bergeron) Prince. With her busy schedule of raising four children, she managed to work at numerous plastic shops eight hours a day. Before her retirement, Claire had worked as a crossing guard for many years in Leominster. She enjoyed arts and crafts, snowmobiling and dancing with her husband. She taught many young children how to ice skate. Claire was well known as 'The Hostess with the Mostess' and always with a smile.
Claire is survived by two sons; Gary Tourigny and his lifelong partner, Joanne, of Leominster, Wayne Tourigny and his wife Karen, of Sterling, one daughter; Karen Hastings of California, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Armand G. Tourigny, son Larry Tourigny and son-in-law Francis Hastings Jr.
Private funeral services under the direction of Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, will be held at the convenience of the family.
