Leominster - Debra Ann Sheppard, of Leominster, MA, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. She was born on February 19, 1956 in Fitchburg to Nancy (Ethier) Sheppard and the late George Sheppard III. The first born of ten, Deb leaves three sisters and five brothers: Susan, (Anthony) Bullock of Marshfield, Pamela, (Donald, deceased) Withington of Leominster, Pegi, (Francis) Malo of Leominster; Peter Sheppard of Ashburnham, Tom Sheppard of Athol, Patrick, (Denise) Sheppard of SC, John, (Anne) Sheppard of CA, and Chris Sheppard of Fitchburg. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Boutwell.
Deb graduated from Fitchburg High School, Class of 1974. She attended Montachusett Regional Technical School graduating from the medical assistant’s program. Over the past forty-five years, Deb dedicated her life to the medical community helping countless with medical and insurance issues, either in physician offices or hospital settings.
Deb found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family, vacationing on the Cape and enjoying Sunday family dinners. In her youth, she was indispensable, assisting her parents in caring for her many brothers and sisters. Later Deb looked forward to car rides and farm stand adventures with nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. She had a love of music, playing the piano, church organ and singing in the church choir or folk group. Having a vast musical knowledge and abundant records at hand, she could have been a champion on “Name that Tune”. Deb was an avid reader, New England sports fan, and concert enthusiast. She was a gentle woman with a big heart, quietly living a life in service to others.
