Doris (Patterson) Mitchell

Doris passed away peacefully at her Leominster home on December 14th, 2022 in the company of her grandson and his family, whom had been caring for her in her later years.  Born on October 9, 1930 in Pepperell, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Mariam (Braydon) Patterson.

 Doris is survived by her sons Wayne Martel and Clement Martel, her grandson, whom she raised, Jason Mitchell and his wife Laura and their daughters Jade and Anna, grandchildren Dawn and Heidi Peterson, and Tiffany, Jennifer, and Aaron Martel, many great grandchildren, and her longtime companion Thomas Duffy. 

 Doris loved knitting, crocheting, puzzle books, country music, and talking on the phone with her many family and friends. Her companion Tom would read the obituaries to her on Sunday mornings

 She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Mitchell, her children Mary Peterson, Ronald Mitchell, Dennis Martel, and Joanne Martel, and grandsons Jeffrey Peterson and Jarrod Mitchell.

 Services will be held privately at a later date.
