Elizabeth A. (Duckworth) Lynch

Fitchburg - Elizabeth A. "Betty" Lynch, 86, of Fitchburg, died February 4, 2024, in HealthAlliance Hospital, after a brief illness.  She was born in Maynard, MA, March 15, 1937, daughter of the late William and Eva Duckworth.  Betty was a graduate of Maynard High School.  She worked as Office Manager at Fitchburg Municipal Airport for many years, prior to her retirement.

Betty loved her MG car and driving around in it.  She loved playing cards and also shopping with her daughter and sister-in-law.

She is survived by one son; John Lynch of Lunenburg, MA, one daughter; Frances Lynch of Fitchburg, her grandchildren; Sarah Phillips of Fitchburg, Adam Lynch of Williamstown, VT, Molly Lynch of Lunenburg and Rebecca Lynch of Lunenburg, one step-daughter; Karin Belanger of Alabama, one daughter-in-law; Eileen Murphy, 3 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

Betty was predeceased by her husband of 54 years; Charles E. Lynch in 2012; her son James Lynch in 2007, daughter-in-law Julie Lynch in 2022, along with six siblings.

Calling hours will be held Friday, February 16, 2024  from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, MA.  A Service will be held following the calling hours at 7:00 p.m., in the funeral home.
