Elizabeth Jane Stebbins Dufour

Leominster - Elizabeth Jane Stebbins Dufour of Leominster passed away December 15, 2024, at the age of 86.  She was born on May 20, 1938, to the late Raymond Wyman and Mary (Chaisson) Proctor.

Upon high school graduation, Betty (as she preferred to be called) climbed the ranks to become a Restaurant Manager (one of the best) at local Howard Johnson's Restaurants until her retirement in the early 1990's.

Everyone who knew her felt her deep genuine caring, compassion and kindness.  Betty's passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of all of us who loved her.  She was truly an amazing woman.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Dufour, brothers; Carl Wyman and Albert Wyman, and daughter Linda (Dufour) Duggan.  She is survived by her sister, Doris Puera, of Sterling, MA, daughters Joanne (Dufour) Rich of Phillipston, MA and Elaine (Dufour) Foster of Stuart, Florida.

She is also survived by her  "daughters from other mothers" Susan Oram of Lunenburg and Mary Charpentier of Leominster, nephew Roland Morse, niece Vicki Morse, Carl and Albert's children, grandchildren; Hillary Duggan, Evan Duggan, Adam Rich, grand-niece Michelle Acker, great niece Taylor Faulkner, great-grandchildren Christian Rich, Landon Rich, Felix Hulme, Fergus Hulme, London Duggan, Callum Duggan, her beloved cat, Hannah, and the entire incredible staff at Sunrise Assisted Living (Yes she adopted them too) in Leominster where she resided for the past few years.
