BOSTON – George Henry Bouret, 63, of Cambridge, New York, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on September 30, 2022, surrounded by close family. Born on April 2, 1959, in Leominster MA, he was the son of Fred Bouret and Viola (Izzi) Bouret.
He is survived by his loving partner of eight years Gabi Moore of Cambridge NY and her children James and Georgia; his brother and sister-in-law Anthony and Tamara Bouret of Baltimore MD; his brother-in-law John Porter of Fitchburg MA; his nephew Justin Kibling of Orlando FL; his niece Kate Bouret of Halifax, Nova Scotia; his aunt Martha Herbert Izzi of Chestnut Hill MA; and many cousins.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his wife Carol Ann Bryda, and his sister Brenda Bouret who passed in June of this year.
George was a graduate of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Photography School and worked as a professional photographer, fueled by his interest in architecture, museum collections, and documenting urban and cultural changes in Alaska.
George was an avid outdoorsman, hiking and camping virtually all of the White Mountains and many other locations. He would tell people that the whole world is your backyard. He knew that every moment was a gift, since he was born with a congenital heart defect and lived with a transplanted heart for the past 34 years. He enjoyed life with his partner Gabi and her children at their mini-farm in rural upstate New York with their chickens, honey bees, cats, garden, and many friends.
