Leominster - Gerald Joseph Doiron passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 4, 2022. He was born March 2, 1944, in Moncton, NB, Canada, the son of the late William and Eva (Arsenault) Doiron. Gerry retired in 2012 after spending 25 years working as a union plasterer, and long time employee of Pelletier Construction. He took great pride in his work and valued a strong work ethic. Gerry's zest for life and his passion for music, friends and his family allowed him to thrive despite being diagnosed with COPD over 15 years ago. Gerry loved any event that involved live music and never left without a few new friends. He enjoyed jamming with his friends and family until the very end. His contagious smile, sense of humor, and authenticity brightened the days of those around him.
Gerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane (LeBlanc) Doiron of Leominster, one son; Kevin Leblanc and daughter in law Sonia Gautreau of MA, two daughters; Tammy Langen Berube and son in law Steven Berube of NH, Vickie Fucarile of NH, five grandchildren; Billy Johns of NH, Shaunah Langen of NC and Jacob Kenyon of GA, Rebecca and Randy Berube of MA, along with four brothers; Roger Doiron, Valerie Doiron, Alyre Doiron all of Moncton, NB and Sylvere Doiron of Acadiaville, six sisters; Maria Bernard, Helen LeBlanc, Angel Bourque, Silvia Gallant, Evelyn Doiron and Lucille Arsenault all of Moncton, NB.
Gerry was predeceased by his two sisters; Bernice Leger and Irma Thebeau, both of NB, Canada

Those that know Gerry, understand the passion and love he had for music. While he had an appreciation for all types and aspects of music, singing and string instruments were his favorites. Gerry was loved by so many and had a way of making each person in his life feel incredibly special. In honor of Gerry's life we are raising funds to provide an instrument scholarship to students at local middle schools. Gerry loved when a young person appreciated music or was interested in playing and know that he would be proud to have played a role in encouraging musical interest in local youth.
