Leominster - Glenn A. Reynolds, Jr. 96 passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He was born in Leominster, son of the late Glenn A. Reynolds, Sr. and Helen Kennedy Reynolds. He is preceded in death by a brother Donald and a grandson Sean Reynolds. Glenn graduated from Leominster High School Class of 1944 and Worcester School of Business.
He worked in the food industry for over 40 years as an account manager for General Mills and a Sr. Vice President for the George W. Bentley Co. Glenn was president of the Mass/Conn Food Broker Association.
A WWII Army combat Veteran, Glenn served as a tank destroyer gunner with the 645th Tank Destroyer Bn., 45th Thunderbird Div., and was awarded two battle stars for the Rhineland Campaign, and Central Europe Campaigns; and the Victory Medal. His unit participated in the liberation of the infamous Dachau (German) concentration camp.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Florence A. (Fontaine-Larcenaire) Reynolds, his children and their spouses. Sue and Thad of Watertown, Maggie and Brian of Charlton, Kevin and LouAnne of Action, Kurt and Michael of Boston and the Cape, John Glenn of Leominster, David and Lisa of Newton, 8 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Glenn and Florence traveled extensively throughout Europe and the 50 states. Glenn enjoyed sailing, photography, and was an avid reader. He was a charter member of Sholan Farms.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main Street, Leominster,
