Irene E. (Maguy) Vaillette

Leominster - Irene E. (Maguy) Vaillette passed away peacefully at age 103, just one month shy of her 104th birthday, on December 10, 2024 with her family by her side.  She was born in Fitchburg, MA, on January 19th, 1921, the daughter of Alfred Maguy and Regina (Larivee) Maguy.  Irene worked for the Leominster School Department before retiring in 1983.  She was an active member of St. Cecilia's Parish and enjoyed volunteering at their bingo and holiday fairs. She was also a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne.

She leaves a son, Bernard D. Vaillette and his wife Jeannine Vaillette of Sterling, a daughter, Gail Vaillette of Westminster, and a daughter-in-law Linda Vaillette of Hudson.  She is predeceased by her husband  Bernard L. Vaillette, who passed away October 5th, 2022 and also her son Gary P. Vaillette who passed away October 19th, 2015.  She is also predeceased by a brother Alfred Maguy of Fitchburg who died January 9th, 2004 and a sister Jeannette Benoit who died May 2nd, 2017.

Irene leaves behind four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

Irene's funeral will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, MA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 168 Mechanic Street, Leominster.  Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17th, from 9:30 - 10:30 a,m, in the funeral home.
