Leominster - John M. Davis was called home on June 19, 2024 with the comfort of his loving family at his side.
He was born in Leominster, MA, August 8, 1952, the son of the late Eugene and Rachel Davis (Pelletier). He attended Leominster Trade School and found his passion for carpentry at a young age and started his own business in 1986. He mastered the craft of finish carpentry, building the most beautiful cabinets, stairways and homes.
John is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 41 years, Judy Davis; their two sons, Timothy Davis of Leominster, MA, and Jeffrey Davis of Gardner, MA. He is also survived by his two step-daughters, Kerry Perri and her husband Ron of Danielson, CT and Jennifer Ferrera-Marcoux and her husband David of West Boylston, MA and three granddaughters, Rebecca Ferrera, Tyler Marcoux and Mikenna Marcoux. He also leaves behind his brother Dennis Davis and his wife Nancy of Leominster, his brother Paul and wife Paula of Riverview, FL, his brother Peter and his wife Barbara of Leominster, his brother Michael and his wife Sheila of Lunenburg, MA and his sister Kathy O’Neill and her husband Jack of North Andover, MA, several brothers and sisters in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Wayne and his sister Sylvia.
John was well known for his playful laugh and kidding ways. If there was a twinkle in his eye, you knew he was up to something. He was also known for his big heart and helping countless family and friends with many projects over the years. He enjoyed football, fishing, cowboy western movies and especially his wife’s home cooking.
The family would like to express their appreciation for Miriam Rogers-Montalvo of the VNA Hospice & Palliative Care and the doctors and nurses at the Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center for their incredibly compassionate care.
