John G. Richard

Fitchburg - John G. Richard, 77, of Fitchburg, died April 6, 2026, in Sterling Village, Sterling, MA, after an illness.  He was born December 18, 1948, in St. Ignace, NB, Canada, son of the late Wilfred J. and Marie Richard.  John was graduate of Leominster Trade High School.  After graduation he served in the US Army 1969 - 1971, attaining rank of SP5.  He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.  John worked as a self-employed carpenter.  He was a member of St. Cecilia's Parish.

John is survived by his wife, Jeanne P. (Allard) Richard, of Fitchburg,, two daughters; Michelle Richard (John) of Fitchburg, MA and Lisa Patria (Jim) of Jacksonville, FL, four brothers; Jacques Richard (Yvette) of Leominster, Gilles Richard (Kathy) of Leominster, Ola Richard (Ginette) of Orange, MA, Jean Paul Richard of Leominster, and one sister; Anne Marie Bernard (Jean-Noel) of Leominster and countless nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by all who know him.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
