Lunenburg - Joyce R Maxim, 79, of Lunenburg, MA died August 4, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 11, 1942 in Leominster, MA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Norman F. Maxim and her brothers Anthony F. Petricca and Joseph Petricca, Jr. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Carbone) Petricca.
Mrs. Maxim began her career as a nurse at Leominster Hospital, and later worked in various capacities throughout the local area. She was dedicated to taking care of others, and very much enjoyed attending church, making homemade pastas, and spending time with her family. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake church in Leominster as well as a member of the Franciscan Order, and also retained ties to St. Anna's parish where she and her husband married.
Joyce is survived by her four children: Norman F Maxim II and his wife Tiffany of Tennessee, Louise Sandra Rosenau and her husband Edward H. Rosenau of West Boylston, James M. Maxim of Salem, and Corey W. Maxim of Salem, Massachusetts. Joyce is also survived by her three sisters: Sandra and Kenneth Lolli of MA, Johanna M. Dyer of NY, and Delores M. Doherty of WI., and by her sister in-law Marcelyn Petricca of MA., as well as her grandchildren; Mitchell, Martin, Makenna, and Mason, and several cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anna’s Parish, 199 Lancaster Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours.
