Obituary

June V. Draleaus (Nutting) 79 years old, died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Umass Memorial Hospital. June was born in Leominster, October 3, 1943. She was the daughter to the late Everett and Gena (Pirro) Nutting. She grew up in Leominster, attended Lancaster St School, May A Gallagher School and Leominster High School. She worked at Tucker Warehouse as the Production Scheduler for 19 years until they closed. She also worked at United Plastics and then she later retired from Accucon Labels in Leominster as Production Manager after 15 years. June enjoyed years of bowling leagues with friends.  She also loved being the Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for her daughter’s troop. She loved making all types of crafts over the years but especially enjoyed doing it with her grandchildren. She was always very close with her cousins and her family was everything to her. June was also loved in the deaf community, because of her son Richie’s hearing loss.  She was fluent in sign language and made many friends over the years. June was a very loving person to whomever came into her life. She worried about everyone else first until her last hours here. She will be greatly missed. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

She leaves behind her son Raymond Brandes of Sterling, son Steve Brandes of Ashburnham, daughter Jacqueline Gerber and her husband Mark of Gardner, son Paul Draleaus Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Leominster and her daughter-in-law Deanne Brandes. She leaves her brother Robert Nutting and his wife Gail of Woodside, CA., sister Diane Iannacone and husband Michael of Leominster and her brother Ronald of Leominster. She leaves her grandchildren Jessica, Zachary, Kayla, Isabel, Tyler, Benjamin, Grace, Rebecca and Mark. Her great grandchildren Jeremiah, Juliana, Jayleen and Luna as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. June was predeceased by her parents, her son Scott Brandes, her son Richard Brandes and her great grand daughter Jayleah Auguste.

Donations in June’s name can be made to the The Learning Center For The Deaf, 848 Central St, Framingham, Ma 01701. 

Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 1 from 9:00-10:30am in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc.,  109 West St, Leominster. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am in St.  Anna’s Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. Burial will be at a later date.
