LEOMINSTER - Kathleen “Kathy” (Barry) Brow of Leominster passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026, after 72 years of life filled with love, family, friendship, and kindness.
Kathy was born in Leominster on May 10, 1954, to Paul and Jennie (Antonucci) Barry. She graduated from Leominster High School as a member of the Class of 1972.
On November 11, 1978, Kathy married the love of her life, Edward “Chicky” Brow. Together, they shared 47 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, friendship, and unwavering devotion to one another.
From an early age, her family was at the heart of everything Kathy did. She cherished gatherings and celebrations with family and friends and loved bringing people together. Whether hosting holiday dinners, enjoying summer days at Spec Pond, or preparing her signature dishes for those she loved, Kathy found joy in caring for others. She was known for her infectious smile, gift of conversation, warm and nurturing nature, and her unique ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued.
Kathy dedicated her professional life to education. She began her career at Leominster High School and later spent many years as a biology and science teacher at Narragansett Regional High School in Baldwinville. Throughout her teaching career, she touched the lives of countless students and inspired a love of science in those she taught. Following her retirement, Kathy returned to Leominster High School as a substitute teacher, continuing to share the passion for education that meant so much to her.
Kathy was actively involved in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. She was also a passionate advocate for individuals with intellectual disabilities and a proud supporter of Beacon of Hope and The Arc of Opportunity.
Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Edward Brow; her two children, Joanna Brow and Anthony Brow; her brother, Kevin Barry and his wife Vickie; her sister, Karen Barry; her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Gail Sticklor and her husband Arthur, David Brow, Thomas Brow and his wife Jane; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Mary Beth (Buckley) Brow, in 2019.
Kathy’s family would like to thank the staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant department of UMass Memorial Medical Center for the excellent care and kindness they showed Kathy.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Leo’s Church, 108 Main Street, Leominster on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main Street, Leominster.
