Kathleen M. Flannagan

Leominster - Kathleen Mary Flannagan, 46 of Leominster, peacefully passed away after a short illness on February 13, 2023.   Kathleen, or “Kat” as she was affectionately called, was born on March 16, 1976, to Richard Paul Flannagan and Jane Ida Flannagan (Vivo Amore) of Leominster.  Kat was a client at the ARC in Fitchburg for many years.  She was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Church.  One of Kathleen’s favorite things to do was to spend time with Mother Mary at the Grotto behind the church.  She also enjoyed time with her family; it was one of her favorite things to do.  Kathleen looked forward to phone calls with her aunts, uncles, and cousins.   She was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, and a doting aunt.  She enjoyed music and could at any moment be heard belting out one of her favorite tunes.  Watching reruns of The Waltons and Life Goes On is how she would spend most days off from the ARC.   Kathleen was also an artist, spending hours coloring in her favorite images. 

Kathleen had a beautiful spirit and brought joy to all those she encountered.  You never walked away without one of her warm, affectionate bear hugs and a smile after spending just minutes with Kat.  The world will miss Kathleen, but heaven is rejoicing as they welcome home one of their most beloved.  

Kathleen is survived by her father; Richard Paul Flannagan of Leominster, her brother; Sean Patrick Flannagan, her sister; Colleen Mary (Flannagan) Harper, two nephews; Uilleam Andrew Harper, Brody John Flannagan, and two nieces; Olivia-Jane Harper and Vayda Jane Flannagan.  She was predeceased by her mother, Jane Ida Flannagan in December 2021.

Kathleen's funeral will be held Saturday, February 18th, 2023 from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Street, Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main Street, Leominster,.  Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster.  Calling hours will be held Friday, February 17th, from  4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
