Gardner – Keith Scott King, known to family and friends as Scott, 59, of Gardner, died December 16, 2025.
Scott was born on July 26, 1966, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the son of Keith Sherwin King and the late Bonnie (Root) Marceau. He spent many years working as a skilled carpenter in the home remodeling and construction industry, taking pride in his craft and the work he did.
Scott will be remembered most for his kind heart. He wore his heart on his sleeve, found joy in the simple things, and was deeply devoted and encouraging to those he loved. Sweet by nature and mischievous by spirit, he delighted in playful pranks and laughter. Scott cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren and family as well as extended family in Vermont.
Scott is survived by his son, David Scott King and his wife, Angela, of Winchendon, Massachusetts; his daughter, Devan Rose King and her fiancé, Mike, of Washington; his father, Keith Sherwin King and his wife, Rosemary, of California; his two sisters, Sherri Rogers and her husband, Jim, of Florida, and Stacey Wheeler and her husband, Mark, of Fitchburg; and his grandchildren, Tristan Lombard and Kassian King, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his longtime partner, Christine Paradis.
Scott was predeceased by his son, Keith Michael King; his mother, Bonnie Marceau; his grandparents, Francis “Bing” and Marion King; and his nephew, Ryan Scott King; all whom he loved dearly and now joins in eternal rest.
